Why we exist
Being listed is not the same as being backed.
Almost every place people use to find a local business is built by machine. Nobody visits. Nobody checks. A brilliant independent ends up sitting underneath a business that closed two years ago, described by software and rated by strangers with something to prove.
We do it the other way round. We find businesses worth knowing about, we go and see them, and we put our name to what we write. Then we do the part almost nobody else bothers with — we keep promoting them.
That is the difference we are built on. A listing sits still and waits to be found. We go out and find the people who should be walking through your door, and we hand them a reason to come.
The ambition is bigger than a website. We want Business Findr to be the name a local business turns to when they want to be seen — for the platform, for the audience, for the content, and for the support that comes with all of it.

Membership is not a line on a page. It is a profile, an audience, and someone actively working to put your business in front of people.
A profile built properly
Photographs, opening hours, offers and a write-up in our own words, from a visit we actually made. Not a scraped entry with your name spelled wrong and hours that have not been right since 2019.
Featured where people are looking
The front page, your category, your city, FINDR Picks. Members are put in front of people who are already searching for exactly what you do, at the moment they are deciding where to go.
Content made for your business
Photography, graphics, written pieces and short video, produced for you and yours to use anywhere you like — your own social accounts, your website, your window. Most independents cannot justify hiring for this. You do not have to.
Pushed out across our channels
Your business goes out to our audience, not just onto a page to be found by accident. That is the part a listing site cannot do, and it is the reason we built the following before we built the platform.
No payment is taken on this site. Tell us about your business and we will come back to you.
Business Findr Verified
Score four or more and the card is yours.
We come in unannounced and pay our own way, then score five things — the welcome, what you came for, the place, value, and whether it was worth the trip. The same five, every time, for everyone.
Four out of five or better and we send you the card for your window. Your real score is on it — we do not round anybody up — and the code takes a customer straight to your page. Come in under four and you get the report instead, with what we would change. No card, and nothing said publicly.
The card is not for sale and no membership includes one. It is not a food hygiene rating and has nothing to do with the FSA — it is our own assessment, and we say what it is worth on every page it appears.

A partner to brands who want to reach people locally.
Not every partnership is a membership. Our audience is made up of people who care about where they spend and who they spend it with — and they trust us because we only put our name to things we have seen ourselves.

We come and see for ourselves
We do not write about a place we have not been to. It is slower, and it is deliberate — it is the reason people believe what they read here, and the reason your profile carries weight rather than sitting in a list.
Promotion is for sale. Our rating is not.
You can pay to be featured and to be a FINDR Pick, and we say so openly in our terms. What nobody can buy is the rating or the write-up. That line is what protects the value of being here — including yours.
Independent first, always
Chains have marketing departments and do not need us. We are here for the barber who has been on the same corner for twenty years and the bakery that sells out by two.

We are early, and that is the best time to be on it.
